The ancient Mmariner in the poem "The Rime of the Ancient Mariner" poem makes a choice when he is out at sea to kill the Aalbatross and he deals with thate consequences for the rest of his life. As he continues to travel the sea, many events happen thato make him learn his lesson. When he first shoots the Aalbatross and, the wind disappears and the crew members make him wear the Aalbatross around his neck, the reader feels like he got what he deserved.
Although in, athe begfinning whenrst, the reader feelts like the ancient Mmariner got what he deserved, my feelings of the mariner started to change, when death and his lady sailed up oin their boat and took all of the crew members souls but the mariner's. That made me, as the reader, feel somewhat sympathetic to him, because he had to deal with the look that all of the crew members gave him before they died, just because he made the choice to kill the ship's good luck charm.
